A chubby fused glass wren sitting on a log, an ideal gift for a bird lover.
Each bird is made from 6 pieces of thin glass with vitreous enamel in gold, brown, white and cream added to give the cheeky wren its characteristic colours. The beak and legs are made from wire which is inserted between the two pieces before the wren is placed into the kiln for firing.
Being handmade, each wren is unique and has their own personality. They sit on a small log slice, usually conifer or silver birch, that has been cut from the maker's garden, and hand finished.
