Kirsti's hand-built slab bottles have an almost human-like presence. Narrow necks on well-defined shoulders draw the eye down to slip, glazes, patterns and textures reminiscent of ancient pots and historical rock carvings. The colours of the glazes are a nod to the oftentimes dramatic weather and skies of Wales and Scotland.
This tall bottle belongs to the Waves collection. It is approximately 24cm or just over 9" tall, and 7.5cm or 3" at its widest point (the shoulders).
